I served four years as a paratrooper in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division, seeing combat in Panama and the 1st Gulf War. I'm currently a detective with the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, where I'm attached to a federal computer crimes group with the US Secret Service. I'm also the author of nine fiction novels, including fantasy, sci-fi, and thrillers.
