Bucket List Race | Ironman Chattanooga |
I was a runner in high school and slowly got into triathlon beginning in 2007. In 2014 I moved overseas to Kuwait, a small country that does not offer a lot in the way of outdoor activities. The gym with a private beach was my daily escape. I joined a cycling group and my time committed to sports increased dramatically. There I was able to earn many podium spots and my enthusiasm for triathlon really took off. In 2016 I moved to the country of Oman and started to push myself for longer distances. Through the long distance training I learned the importance of proper nutrition and rehearsing race-day nutrition in training. There, I traveled to Dubai and later Abu Dhabi to compete in my first 70.3 distance races. Last year I moved back to the US and took on the challenge of my first 140.6. Ironman Texas was an awesome experience for me, in large part thanks to my consistent liquid nutrition through training and race day!
