I am a 4 time open heart survivor that is taking my story to the Triathlon world to inspire kids and parents during tragic times. I was born with a heart issue and had my first surgery at 2 weeks old in Little Rock, AR. I had 3 additional surgeries by the age of 15. I never let my heart hold me back, I went on to play division one baseball and compete in Ironman triathlons. After taking 10 years off of endurance racing and focusing on my professional career, in 2019 I entered back into the sport of triathlons. I have recently been asked to join the American Heart Association as a board member to travel around to different hospitals around the country to speak with parents and kids in hopes to inspire others through tough times.
