I began multi-sports by accident. Shortly after my separation/divorce, I started increasing my running frequency and distance. When I decided to compete in my first marathon, I purchased a bike as a means of cross training due to long time pre-exisiting knee problems. I realized at that point running/biking was a sport and began doing duathlons. The following year, I decided I may as well do all three and entered my first triathlon - Eagleman 70.3. The following year, I competed in and completed my first IM. Since then, I have competed in 19 IM (20 by the end of 2022) and 20 70.3/HIM races. Altogether, I have completed more than 200 du's and tri's. These days, I compete in 10-12 du's and tri's per year plus 2-4 running events per year, depending on my multi-sport calendar.

I have represented Team USA at standard distance du worlds on 6 times and declined or pulled out due to injury 4 more years. I have also represented Team USA at long distance du worlds 3 times, declined qualifying slots 3 other years.

My "A" races for 2023 will be Chattanooga 70.3, Augusta 70.3, and IM Cozumel. I was considering IM Waco, but WTC just made that decision for me when they announced they were discontinuing the race.

As of Sep22, I am a certified yoga instructor (200 hour certification). I consider this one of my Covid accomplishments as all teacher trainings were virtual during this time.

In addition to my busy race calendar, I work full time and I serve on the board of directors as the Partnership Director for a professional organization the serves my field. As a result of this position, I am a part of a 4 person team that organizes a joint annual training event from site selection to execution of the event.
