I’m a 42 year old age group triathlete who started my journey in 2013 when I met some friends who I started running with on Friday. I had never ran more than 4 miles and they were running 8 miles at an 8min pace. I was nervous that I could keep up. Next thing I know they had me entering half marathons and then they convinced me to signup for my first triathlon Ironman 70.3 St. George in 2014. I didn’t know what I was doing but I trained hard and finished at 5hr 26min. I beat all of my friends in my running group and I was hooked. Endurance sports took off for me. I’ve ridden my bike from Sacramento to Reno in 1 day 165 miles 17,000ft of elevation, completed the Climb to Kaiser (rated as one of the top 10 toughest races), an Olympic MTB triathlon where I got 2nd in my age group, 50K trail run where I won my age group and 4th overall, Ironman Oceanside 70.3, and Ironman Victoria 70.3 where I came real close to breaking 5hrs at 5hrs 6mins, STP One Day finisher 207 miles and I ran 40miles on my 40th birthday. I enjoy pushing my body to the limits and seeing how it responds and adapts. I finally came to the realization this year that I have never put any focus into my nutrition during races and have often bonked during my races and always wondered what if I didn’t. I finally started researching and that’s how I found Infinit and ever since there is no looking back. I’ve been training hard this year for Ironman Arizona 140.6 my first full and since switching to Infinit my training gains have been unprecedented for me. I’m faster, leaner, and so much stronger.
I’m a father of 3 young kids and I work full time as a CPA at Amazon. My life is super busy but i get up every day at 4:30am to train so that I can still be present for my family.
