Hello! I am a wife (Married to my high school sweetheart) and mom of three grown boys. My fitness journey started about 15 yrs ago when I found myself more than 50lbs overweight and not setting a good example for my children. I’m fortunate to live near beautiful Niagara Falls and I began running loops of the state park, just to get some exercise and loose weight. I soon discovered that I LOVED to run, so I entered my first 5k and placed in my age group! I’ve been hooked ever since! As a result my family has also taken up distance running (although my boys have always been active in sports... soccer, swim, xcountry, track). I’m very Blessed to have trained and completed marathons with my husband and all 3 sons (nothing brings you closer than an 18 mile run on Saturday morning!). My transition to triathlon came a few years ago as I acted as head Sherpa and cheerleader as my family competed in several tri’s. The turning point being IMMT2017 as my husband and oldest son crossed the finish line together and as Mike Reilly called out their names I thought “ok, I need a piece of this!” So I worked on overcoming my paralyzing fear of the water, bought a tri bike and got to work. My awesome family supported me through many tri’s with the highlight being my own IM journey and completing IMMT 2019!
