Born in raised in Southern California and lived here most of my life. Grew up with family trying to get me to be more active, but more often than not never felt too motivated to do much and wasn't very athletically inclined.

Started playing a little tennis at the beginning of High School, but then dropped it off after 2 years to focus more on my academic pursuits.

At this point in my life, stayed relatively active to maintain good health overall. Maintained a good discipline to off working out throughout college and into the start of my career. However, most of the time it still felt like a "chore" or something I had to do.

Did my first sprint triathlon in 2005 (Nautica Malibu) as something to try. Did not train to heavily for it and it ended up being a difficult race (finished in 3 hours and 30 mins) After finishing, "checked" the box off that I did a triathlon and considered it one and done.

2010 was asked to do another sprint triathlon, which I spent much more time preparing for. To my recollection did relatively well and this time sparked the addiction and started doing 7-8 Sprint and/or Olympic distances per year.

2013 did my first half Ironman.

2014 did my first full Ironman.

Fast forward through to 2022 have completed 16 half Ironmans and 5 Ironmans.

Between 2014-2019, spent a lot of time training and racing. However in 2018, began to realize how much more I wanted to give back to the triathlon community along with communities that needed help (homeless, human trafficking, foster care, etc.) I decided to maintain a better balance of racing, training, and also volunteering to help others that are less fortunate because I've been extremely fortunate.

As always, thank you for your consideration!
