I moved to Hawaii in 2009 to start my photography career. In 2011, I opened my first gallery at the age of 22. Eight years later, I'm still in Hawaii successfully running my gallery and working as a landscape photographer.
I found triathlon while working on an assignment on the island of Lanai. TriLanai was an off-road course, which is another reason I was attracted to the race. Instantly, I was hooked and wanted to try one myself. I got home, bought a bike and a year later did that race and won my age group. Since then I have invested in a TT bike and compete in races from sprint to half ironman distances.
I have no background in endurance sports, although, I competitively played soccer for 12 + years. I just ran my second marathon and qualified for Boston 2018, running sub 3 hours.
My goal for 2018 is to qualify for the 2019 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France.
