I am a Radiation Oncologist in Lexington, KY and I have been active in endurance events my entire life. I am a former Division 1 track 400/800 runner from the University of Kentucky. I moved up to marathons and triathlon when I met my wife. We now travel as much as possible, using races as our reason. Together, we have also started our own non-profit called Ironcology, which raises money for cancer patients and through that organization I started and have been the race director for an overnight triathlon relay race called the Survive the Night Relays since 2015. More recently, I unfortunately suffered bilateral hip labral tears and had 2 operations to repair them. As such, I am now on my comeback tour trying to regain my fitness and once again race on an elite level or at least something close.
