Born and raised in Barcelona, Spain; moved to US in 2008.
I started running as a way to improve my fitness while hiking in the Pyrenees in Spain, after a little bit, running became my main activity as I could do it almost everywhere while traveling for work. A lower back injury prevented me from running for a while, so I switched to swimming and cycling, mostly to recover.
After moving to the US in 2008, cycling became my best way to know people and enjoy the camaraderie of a cycling team in New Jersey.
I did some racing in Criteriums, and Cyclocross, but switched a few years ago to Time Trials, Road Stage Races, and some gravel as it is becoming just easy to do (so many events).
My lower back injury introduced me to stretching and yoga, and I regret not doing enough when I was younger, but never too late :-).
In the last fifteen years or so, I started to cook more my own meals, and this have evolved into preparing much of my meals. I find that as I'm aging, nutrition is more and more important.
